What is Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair?
The Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair is the world’s leading fair for the toy branch with about 2,700 exhibitors from 63 nations and over 76,000 trade visitors from altogether 104 nations each year. Admission is restricted solely to companies trading in the branches represented at the Toy Fair.

The next Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair Nürnberg takes place from February 03 to 08, 2011 on the Nürnberg exhibition site.

Is the fair open to the public?
No. The Toy Fair is a pure trade fair, to which only the relevant trade visitors are admitted (
definition of trade visitors (28 KB)).
Proof of trade visitor status is necessary. More on this at registration.
Can I bring my child?
Children under the age of 16 years are not admitted under any circumstances.Spielwarenmesse eG offers parents who bring their children to the event a free day care service with trained teachers in the nursery and youth centre in Service Center West. Toys are available for all ages. Lunch is offered at extra cost. The opening times of the nursery/youth centre are the same as the opening times of the Toy Fair.

Definition of trade visitors
For the purpose of the Toy Fair, trade visitors are all persons that commercially trade in toys or other branches represented at the Toy Fair. Accreditation is necessary as proof of trade visitor status. Definition of trade visitors (28 KB)
Trade visitor registration
For accreditation for Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair, simply register online or complete the registration form. In both cases please send
- a copy of your trading licence or extract from the commercial register and
- two invoices from your suppliers
either by fax to +49 (0)911 814 99 05
or by post to Spielwarenmesse eG, Münchener Str. 330, 90471 Nürnberg, Germany.
You will then receive your personal service voucher book for purchasing entrance passes for Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair in due time before the start of the event. You can purchase entrance passes on presentation of this permit at the ticket office.
Our international trade visitors are requested to contact the respective foreign representative in their own country.

Entrance passes
The advance sale starts at the beginning of December. Visitors from outside Germany are requested to contact the Spielwarenmesse eG representative in their own country in order to purchase the tickets.
During the fair you can buy your entrance passes directly on the fair grounds.

Free use of local public transport
The entrance pass is valid again this year as a ticket for free travel for the whole Nürnberg integrated transport system (VGN).

Visas
Visas are still required for entry into Germany from many countries.
We send visitors from these countries personal invitations together with the permit for purchasing an entrance pass at the ticket office. Visitors can use this personal invitation to apply for a visa at the responsible embassy or consulate general.
We need the following information for preparing this invitation:
- Surname, First Name
- Company
- Address
- Fax number and e-mail address
- Period of stay in Nuernberg
Deadline: The Spielwarenmesse International Toy Fair takes place from 03.02. to 08.02.2011. Requests for personal invitations should arrive by 14 January 2011 at the latest. We regret that we cannot process inquiries received after this date.
