Is Spielwarenmesse Open to the Public?

No. Spielwarenmesse® is a pure trade fair, to which only the relevant trade visitors are admitted (definition of trade visitors). Proof of trade visitor status is necessary.

Who is a Trade Visitor?

Trade visitors are all persons who trade in or work with toys or other products represented at Spielwarenmesse® on a commercial basis. The core target group of Spielwarenmesse® comprises trade buyers. The decisive factor for eligibility for visiting Spielwarenmesse® is proof of the person’s legitimate interest. How do I Register as a Trade Visitor?

For accreditation for Spielwarenmesse®, simply register online!

As trade visitor from Germany please have ready

  • a copy of your trading licence or extract from the commercial register and
  • two invoices from your suppliers

You will be contacted by our representative in your country in time. During autumn our representative will then provide you with a link to enter your personal online ticket shop. There you can buy one or several entrance passes online for Spielwarenmesse®.

If you are a german trade visitor or there is no representative in your country, the online registration is forwarded to Spielwarenmesse eG.

Do I have to register again every year?

No. Visitors from Germany receive their permit from us by post or the login data for the online ticket shop by e-mail automatically in autumn.

International visitors are also contacted automatically by the relevant representative and then receive the login data to the online ticket shop.

Where Can I Buy Tickets and What Do They Cost?

The advance sale starts in autumn. Visitors from outside Germany are requested to contact the Spielwarenmesse eG representative in their own country in order to purchase the tickets.

During the fair you can buy your entrance passes directly on the fair grounds.

Can I Use the Ticket for Local Public Transport?

Yes, you can use all public transport services covered by the Nuremberg integrated transport system (VGN) free of charge during Spielwarenmesse®, provided you have a valid entrance pass for the fair. Your paper ticket also acts as your ticket for travel by public transport. If you have an e-ticket, please always have the separate VGN printout with you as proof of entitlement.

Do I Need a Visa?

Visas are still required for entry into Germany from many countries. We send visitors from these countries personal invitations together with the permit for purchasing an entrance pass at the ticket office. Visitors can use this personal invitation to apply for a visa at the responsible embassy or consulate general.

Can I Bring My Child?

Children under the age of 16 years are not admitted. Those over 16 will need an official ID.
Spielwarenmesse eG offers parents who bring their children to the event a free day care center in Service Center West (room Venedig). Toys are available for all ages. Lunch is offered at extra cost. The opening times: 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
