Deinstallation

On BlackBerry devices, software can generally be deleted via the Desktop Manager through the Application Loader. The procedure is the same as the installation procedure described above.

Note

The BlackBerry application "Toy Fair 2010" does NOT make use of so-called "controlled classes" of the specific RIM JAVA API. It has been exclusively developed by means of the standard MIDP - 1.0 / CLDC - 1.0 J2ME API. For this reason, this application is UNSIGNED on your BlackBerry device.

Potential problems

  1. The programme does not appear in the Desktop Manager after selection of the ".alx" file or on the BlackBerry device after installation.

Solution: This is indicative of outdated Desktop Manager software and / or an outdated BlackBerry software version. In this case, a software update is necessary.
  2. The Desktop Manager does not allow the installation of the application.

Solution: In companies, BlackBerry devices may be centrally administered via the BES (BlackBerry Enterprise Server). Users are frequently not authorised to install external applications. In this case, please contact your BES administrator.
